What is Loom?

Loom is a video recording tool that helps you get your message across through instantly shareable videos. With Loom, you can record your camera, microphone, and desktop simultaneously. Your video is then instantly available to share with a simple and private URL or you can even download the video. Best of all, Loom is free for educators forever!

5 New Loom Updates

Loom quietly rolled out some big updates on 10/14/2020 and I made an overview video of those updates below:

Loom Tutorial Video 1

In this first video, you will learn how to sign up for an account, what Loom costs (free for educators), what features are available, and we look at the settings page and talk about a nifty integration with Gmail.

Loom Tutorial Video 2

In this second video, we cover what apps are available to download for the device you're using, how to use each of those different apps (PC, Mac, and Chrome Extension), as well as looking at the different settings you can change while recording a video with Loom.

Microphone Test

In this video, I test out different types of microphones so you can hear what each of them sound like and decide which one sounds and will work the best for you.

Loom Tutorial Video 3

The final video in our Loom Crash Course below covers what options you have after you finish recording. You will learn how to share your videos, edit them, and some other post-recording settings that are available to you.
